Tinget – Privacy Policy
Tinget is a private, invite-only app for coordinating gatherings within a single friend group: a group chat plus shared events with attendance answers. It is currently distributed as a beta through Apple TestFlight. There are no ads, no analytics, no tracking, and your data is never sold or shared for marketing.
Data we store
- Account: when you sign in with Apple we receive a unique identifier and, if you choose to share it, your name and email address (which may be Apple's private relay address). We use it only to identify your account.
- Profile: the display name you choose, and an optional avatar.
- Content: messages you send to the group chat, events you create, and your attendance answers. These are visible to the other members of your group, that is the app's purpose.
- Push tokens: a device token so we can deliver notifications (new messages, new events, event reminders). You can mute these in the app or deny notification permission entirely; the app still works.
What we do not collect
No location, no contacts, no photos, no advertising identifiers, no usage analytics, no third-party trackers.
Where it lives
Data is stored with Supabase in the EU (Ireland). Push notifications are delivered via Expo and Apple's push service. Sign-in is handled by Apple. These providers act as processors; no other third parties receive your data.
Retention and deletion
Your data is kept while you are a member of your group. To delete your account and data, email simen@sollie.io; your account and personal details are removed and any messages or events you authored are anonymised so the group's shared history stays intact. In-app account deletion is planned before any public App Store release.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, and you can lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority (in Norway, Datatilsynet). Contact simen@sollie.io for any request; expect an answer within 30 days.
Children
Tinget is not directed at children under 13 and membership is by personal invite only.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the group is notified in the app and this page is updated with a new effective date.
